American Accounting Association (AAA)
This organization is aimed for those who are interested in the accounting education. Issues the main publication The Accounting Review, unites US accounting academics.
Association Of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
This is a British accountancy body which offers the Chartered Certified Accountant qualification worldwide. Its headquarters are in London with the principal administrative office being based in Glasgow. ACCA qualification is recognized all over the world and serves as a prove of your professional knowledge.
American Institute Of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)
This is the US professional association certified public accountants. It has huge number of members, exceeding 330,000 people. This institution sets ethical standards for the CPA profession and US auditing standards for audits of different entities in the US.
Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB)
This is a United States federal advisory committee the aim of which is to develop generally accepted accounting principles for federal entities.
Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB)
This is private, non-profit organization with the purpose to develop generally accepted accounting principles in the United States for the public companies.
International Accounting Standards Board (IASB)
This institution is responsible for developing and promoting use and application of understandable and international financial reporting standards (IFRSs, previously called IAS - International Accounting Standards).
International Federation Of Accountants (IFAC)
This is a global organization for the accountancy profession, which through its independent standard-setting boards establishes international standards on ethics, auditing, assurance, public sector accounting.
