7 important recommendations to consider while looking for an accounting job
Congratulations, you have decided to search for a job in accounting!
Stop for a while… Before you start there are several important aspects to consider. They will help you determine your preferences, compare various accounting job offers and select the one appropriate and most favorable to you.
Location: you have to decide where you would like to work, i.e. in the region you are living currently, or move to a new location. If you are thinking of a moving to a new location, make sure to learn everything you can about the city before accepting an offer – it might appear that you will have to require higher salary than for job in the place you live currently. Some employers agree to cover relocation expenses and pay for a rent of a living place. These are important issues to consider when comparing various job offers.

Working time rules: what is the standard working time according to the rules of the particular employer, amount of overtime to be required, what is the length of vacation time and whether the employer provides any additional vacation time, what are sick leave time policies. If you are still studying or considering to study further, will you be eligible for a study leave time and whether you will receive salary for this time.
Career opportunities: your aim is to find appropriate job, which would allow you to gain required knowledge and professional development. Therefore for sure you will not wish to do the same work again and again. It is important that job you will accept provides learning and development opportunities and possibilities to move to a higher career level inside the company. If the career move is not possible, be sure you develop your skills and knowledge and gain practice to be able finding better accounting job offer after certain period of time.
